About me
- I am an Ernyan Refugee, formerly known as Ödland.- I chose my new name, Hypatia, after a great female scholar, mathematician, and astronomer who lived in the ancient Alexandria of Egypt, where she was the Dean of a college. She was brutally murdered by religious extremists and is one of the first woman scientists to be acknowledged in history. (In short, a very cool person.)
- I love to draw! Especially fantasy based subjects. I use traditional mediums like paper, typically coloring with Copic and Shinhanart markers or inks.
- I have very eclectic taste in music. About the only music I really don't like is country (though I do like folk, americana, and some bluegrass) and some rap (there are exceptions for really fetch artists like Missy Elliot, Common, and a few others.) I love k-pop and I'm trying to become more familiar with the scene, as well as become more familiar with Japanese bands.
- I love anime and manga!
- I consider myself an egalitarian, secular humanist, and intersectional feminist.
That basically just means I believe all people deserve equal treatment and respect! I am a big supporter of human rights causes, my current causes of especial interest are trans and gender non conforming rights, and lasting solutions to providing clean water in lesser developed countries and drought stricken regions.
